Be Your Honest Self
Standing for what you believe, is a direct reflection of who you believe you are.
The root of our faith, is the flow of our belief system that develops our identity.
If we operate outside of who are, we are at risk of “losing ourselves” which is our belief system.
There is something in us that dwindles when we operate outside of the destiny that God has created us for.
Some avoid it their entire lives, never feeling the fullness of God’s anointing and favor, by stepping into alignment for what they’ve been created for. Other’s don’t dare to take the risk, allowing “fear” to keep them from entering into all God has for them.
“He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity (a sense of divine purpose) in the human heart (a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God) yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP
God has set eternity in all our hearts, so we long for something greater than ourselves. <3
Being your “honest self” is not implying that you have it all figured out and know everything about you that makes you, you. It’s reaching for your “why” that’s bigger than yourself.
It’s reaching to find your purpose, following the prompts, the guidance and the confirmations, of where God is calling you.
“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” —Mark Twain.
Being your honest self generates confidence within you. Inspiring others to be more confident within themselves, and encourages those who may not know who they are, to begin the journey of “finding out”.
As believers we find our identity in Christ. We believe and receive, by faith, that we are a new creation in Christ Jesus, taking every thought captive according to the Word of God.
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
We find our purpose in obedience to His word, His voice, His guidance in our lives. One thing may be for a lifetime, another may be for a season. Regardless, we never lose our anchor and identity in Him.
The Bible is our reference, our blue print, in locating (knowing) what God says about who we are, how much He loves us, and His plans for us (our purpose). This is the secure foundation of our faith. Our belief system. With Christ (Truth) as our corner stone to our honest self. Our entire foundation of who we are, is built on our belief in Him.
Your courage will come. Your confidence will come. As you align yourself with His Word, you come into alignment to be your Honest Self.
