Pain of Your Past < Promise of Your Future
The difficulties, disappointments, trauma & heartache we face, can at times feel like there is no hope up ahead. No light to look for. No destination to dream about. The truth is, our pain is viewed through fear. We look at difficulty, attack, trauma, disappointment as “pain” because we are not trusting (fear) that God will work it out for our good (faith).
This does not diminish our senses of going through painful moments but pain is designed to be temporary. To feel the birth of something new. Pain is never the result. Pain is the channel in which God delivers His promise.
No matter what you’ve been through, having a hard time forgiving and letting go of. Will you dare to allow Jeremiah 29:11 to take root in your heart;
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
God sees all. He knows it all. Deuteronomy 32:35 says;
“I will take revenge; I will pay them back. In due time their feet will slip. Their day of disaster will arrive, and their destiny will overtake them.” NLT Deuteronomy 32:35
This is not to abuse God’s grace in having a desire for those who have hurt us to fall or be hurt themselves. It allows us to walk in holy freedom (fear of God) knowing that His plans for us are for good. To give us a future and a hope!
I’ve got breaking news! If it isn’t good right now, It’s about to be! If you don’t have hope right now, stir yourself up! The pain of your past is not the presence of your future.
Be bold. Be courageous! Say this out loud “the promises for my future are greater than the pain of my past!”
Dare to release your pain to the One who’s pain is Promise <3
