Are People Withholding Their Best From You?

Think about this for a minute. Do people share positivity and love with you that you don’t respond to? We can double tap to acknowledge something and are influenced continuously to go on to the next thing that we all must practice being truly present in the moment. With all the daily notification noises, we are being reprogrammed with stress all day long. If we aren’t careful, the people #God has placed in our lives to love us & take us to the next level we may overlook, not acknowledging the good that’s right in front of us. 

A few years ago, a friend of mine sent me a video in an email that I loved and responded with 3 sentences of how it spoke to my heart and how I was going to apply it in my life. My friend responded with such enthusiasm expressing “no one ever responds, thank you!”, it made them want to share more. This response has stuck with me. What a terrible thought, that we have so much sharing going on but not enough embrace.

I know I’ve had the thought “stop, they won’t get anything out of this” take over before when I wanted to share something with someone because of how consistent their negative attitude toward previous “sharing” had been (shared it anyways 😎). Here’s my point, if we aren’t doing our part to be healed, present, growing & setting our attitude, we may miss what others want to do with us and for us. We are all so deserving of love and support, don’t sabotage that for yourself. No matter what, you should always follow your heart. Even if that means sending love and getting “stop sending me this stuff” in return LOL!

We may at times have to be love long before we reap love.

Let’s challenge ourselves this week to be present. To set out a plan of what we need to get done and get it done before opening Instagram or responding to someones text. It’s amazing how quickly we can accomplish our tasks when we SET OUR MIND. It takes a full heart and a set mind to make the right investment without expecting return.
